Small Zlíns

A decade before the Second World War represents the era of the greatest boom in the Bata concern. His leadership at some time before 1930 set as the target to develop individual production units outside the framework of the residential town. The first of them started quite logically to get formed straight away in 1930 in the nearby Otrokovice. Bata´s satellites did not create in the individual places where they were located only new working possibilities and distinctive, progressive urbanistic complexes at a high level but they also brought a new approach to life and work, interpersonal ethics, production and business that was represented by “Bata´s” people educated in unique institutions of the company, professionally brought up in Bata´s factory in Zlín in the spirit of ethics and aesthetics of the modern Zlín environment. Many of Bata´s satellites were established by the younger stepbrother of Tomáš Baťa - Jan Antonín Bata.

The introductory photo captures the factory in Napajedla.
